Cross-Platform Ad Reporting: One Report Across Meta, Google, and TikTok
Stop stitching together Meta, Google Ads, and TikTok numbers by hand. Connect Xylo to your AI assistant and ask for one unified report across all three platforms, in plain English.
The Cross-Platform Reporting Problem
Most brands advertise in more than one place. A typical e-commerce business runs prospecting on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), search and shopping on Google, and short-form video on TikTok. Three platforms, three logins, three definitions of the same number.
So when your boss, your client, or you ask a simple question, "How much did we spend last week, and what did it bring in?", the honest answer is a half-day of work. You open each Ads Manager, export a CSV, fight with date ranges that do not line up, paste it all into a spreadsheet, and try to make the columns mean the same thing. By the time the report is ready, the week is already over.
It feels like it should be one click. It never is.
Why It Has Always Been Painful
The pain is not in your head. The three platforms genuinely do not agree on anything.
- Meta reports spend one way, buries conversions inside a nested list of action types, and uses its own date presets.
- Google Ads has its own query language, reports money in tiny fractional units, and labels campaign types with internal codes.
- TikTok has yet another report format, its own metric names, and its own idea of what a "click" is.
Even a basic metric like cost per purchase is calculated down a different path on each platform. "Clicks" does not mean the same thing on Meta as it does on Google. Time zones drift. Currencies format differently. Multiply that by every metric, every campaign, and every platform, and you get the spreadsheet from hell.
Historically, the only way out was to hire a developer to wire up all three APIs and normalize the data into one shape. That is real, ongoing engineering work, and most marketing teams do not have it to spare.
With Xylo plus your AI assistant, you never touch any of that. You just ask.
The New Way: Ask Your Agent for the Report
Xylo is a connector (an MCP server) that plugs your Meta, Google, and TikTok ad accounts into the AI assistant you already use, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others. You connect your accounts once, point your assistant at Xylo, and from then on you manage and measure your ads by talking.
Behind the scenes, Xylo pulls from all three platforms and normalizes everything into one consistent shape, dollars in dollars, percentages as percentages, the same metric names everywhere, before your assistant ever sees it. You do not deal with cents, micros, or nested action arrays. You ask a question in plain English and get an answer that already adds up across Meta, Google, and TikTok.
Here is what that looks like in practice. You type something like this to your AI assistant:
Pull last week's performance across Meta, Google, and TikTok. Give me total spend, conversions, and blended cost per purchase, then break it down by platform.
And it comes back with a single, combined report, no exports, no spreadsheet, no glue code.
How to Connect (About a Minute)
- Sign in and connect your accounts. Create a free Xylo account, then authorize Meta, Google, and TikTok through their normal secure login (OAuth). Pick the ad accounts you want. Your tokens are encrypted (AES-256), and your AI assistant never sees your credentials.
- Point your AI assistant at Xylo. Add Xylo as a connector using the MCP endpoint
https://xylomcp.com/api/mcp. It works with Claude (on claude.ai or Claude Desktop), ChatGPT (any paid plan, in Developer mode on the web), Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and anything else that speaks MCP. - Ask for your report. That is it. From here on, reporting is a sentence, not a project.
What a Combined Report Actually Contains
When you ask for a cross-platform report, Xylo gives your assistant one normalized view so the numbers genuinely line up. A typical combined report includes:
- Grand totals across all three platforms: total spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and revenue for the period.
- A per-platform breakdown: how much Meta, Google, and TikTok each spent, and what each one returned, side by side.
- Blended efficiency metrics: overall cost per click, cost per thousand impressions (CPM), click-through rate, and blended cost per purchase, all calculated on a consistent basis so you are comparing like with like.
- Winners and losers: your best and worst campaigns ranked by cost per result, no matter which platform they live on.
- Plain-language context: because an AI assistant is writing it, you get a short read on what changed and why, not just a grid of numbers.
Because everything is already normalized, your assistant can total spend across Meta, Google, and TikTok without any platform-specific gymnastics. The same question works whether you run two platforms or all three.
Prompts to Steal
You do not need to learn any special syntax. Here are real prompts you can paste into your AI assistant once Xylo is connected.
The Monday morning recap:
Give me last week versus the week before across Meta, Google, and TikTok. Total spend, conversions, and cost per purchase, with the percentage change for each.
The "where is my money going" check:
Break down yesterday's spend by platform and by campaign. Flag anything where cost per purchase is more than 30 percent above its 7-day average.
The client-ready summary:
Write a short performance summary for last month across all my ad accounts. Lead with total spend and return, then a per-platform table, then the three campaigns I should fix first.
The cross-platform comparison:
Compare my Meta and TikTok video campaigns this month. Which one has the lower cost per purchase, and how do their click-through rates differ?
The standing report:
Every Friday, summarize the week across Meta, Google, and TikTok and tell me the single biggest thing that changed.
Your assistant uses Xylo's 300+ ad operations to do the real work, reading campaigns, ad sets, ads, and insights across all three platforms, then hands you the answer. Xylo covers essentially every Ads Manager surface, so the same plain-English approach works for digging into a single ad set or pulling a top-line number for the whole account.
Apples to Apples: How the Metrics Line Up
The reason a combined report can be trusted is that Xylo settles the definitions for you. A few examples of what it reconciles under the hood:
- Spend is always in dollars, never cents or micros.
- Click-through rate is always a true percentage, the same way on every platform.
- Conversions are pulled from each platform's primary conversion signal and reported as a plain number, so you are not fishing through nested data.
- Cost per result is computed on the same basis everywhere, so Meta, Google, and TikTok sit in the same column honestly.
One honest caveat worth knowing: "clicks" still means slightly different things across platforms (Meta counts a broader set of clicks than Google does, for instance). Xylo uses each platform's primary click metric and keeps the comparison consistent, and your assistant will tell you when a difference is a real difference and not just a labeling quirk. You can always ask it to explain a number you do not trust.
Time Zones and Date Ranges, Handled
A classic reason cross-platform reports do not add up: each account reports in its own time zone, so "yesterday" on Meta and "yesterday" on Google can be different windows. Xylo keeps date handling consistent across your request, so when you ask for "last 7 days," your assistant applies the same period to all three platforms. If your accounts are set to different time zones, just say so in your prompt and ask it to account for the offset.
Always Fresh, Never Rate-Limited
Pulling from three platforms at once normally risks tripping their rate limits, which means slow, half-finished reports. Xylo manages that for you. It caches recent data so repeated questions answer instantly, and it automatically retries and backs off when a platform gets busy, so your report comes back complete instead of erroring out halfway. You never have to think about it. You just ask again.
A Note for Developers
If you do have engineering resources and want to build reporting into your own product, Xylo also exposes a REST API at https://api.xylomcp.com. You authenticate with an x-api-key header (Meta calls also pass x-ad-account, Google passes x-google-customer-id, TikTok passes x-tiktok-advertiser-id). Responses come back in a consistent { data, meta } shape with money already in dollars, and there is a normalized cross-platform insights endpoint that returns per-platform and grand totals in one call. Under the hood it speaks Meta Graph API v25.0, Google Ads API v23, and TikTok Marketing API v1.3, but you do not have to. See the API documentation for details. For most teams, though, connecting Xylo to an AI assistant is the faster path, and it is the one we lead with.
